Yamaha Virago motorcycle parts are designated with codes in the following format: MMM-BBBBB-DD-CC
- MMM = the code of model (e.g. 2GV, 3BM, ...)
- BBBBB = the part code (e.g. 11631 = piston, 11650 = piston rod, ...)
- first number = section (e.g. 1 = engine)
- second+third number = group (e.g. 11 = cylinder head)
- fourth+fifth number = the part code within section/group
- DD = the design code
- first number = version (bigger change of part)
- second number = revision (smaller change of part)
- CC = the color code (the big majority of parts does not have color at all so here is 00), on some parts these two numbers define the size or thickness (e.g. for piston)
